By its true definition a buffet is;

1. A meal set out on a buffet or table for ready access and informal service a restaurant that offers a breakfast buffet

2. An assortment of options or offerings; variety.

But as those of you who follow us on Instagram you will know that we LOVE a magnificent buffet, a buffet that is so much more than the sum of its parts. While often Buffet dining is associated with underwhelming, banal ‘all you can eat’ spreads, synonymous with tired, lukewarm offerings and rubbery eggs we promise as a premium Buffet Caterer on the Gold Coast our buffets & food stations are the polar opposite. From Night Market Stalls (think carvery, noodle bar, tacqueria) to standing Feasts Eatdrink Catering has elevated the ubiquitous into a marvellous spread; abundant, hot, fresh and delicious.

 

We take the notion of shared meals very seriously, no matter what form they come in. A great meal makes the event, and a great meal comes in all varieties including the more informal Buffet. The benefits of serve yourself dining are many; variety, a more dynamic dining experience- allows guests to mingle and socialise, a simple way to cover dietary requirements and personal preferences, visually spectacular, budget friendly, personalised portions, and the added bonus of adding extra fun features- such as an oyster bar or a sushi station. RAINFOREST GRAZING TABLE

An abundant spread with local oysters & fingerlime, Tasmanian trout gravalax cured with beetroot, pink pepper and Ink Gin, macadamia pesto, crudité, and native dukkah, warmed spiced olives, macadamia and preserved lemon butter, Salumi meats, sweet Bangalow ham caramelised in Stone & Wood ale & maple, local cheeses

Seed and nut activated lavosh, bush spice pita shards, ficelle toasts and crackers, Byron bakery baguette, pumpkin and macadamia baby scones.

Served with Sunday Sustainable Bakery slider buns, Goonengerry Dutch cream spuds roasted in duck fat and rosemary

Pulled sweet Bangalow pork braised with ginger, thyme & sherry
Alstonville chicken wrapped in bacon; stuffing of macadamia, preserved lemon, herbs

Farmgate Black Angus slow braised beef cheeks with olives, cinnamon, native plum, port
Salad accompaniments;

    • Pink slaw; red cabbage, pink whitlof, radicchio, beets, carrot, pink lady apples, toasted hazelnuts, tarragon, honey cider mayo dressing

CURRY OR TAGINE BAR
All made with local grown meats, vegetables and herbs

  • Sri Lankan fish curry

  • Chicken, saffron tomato and apricot tagine,

  • Pumpkin, eggplant, cranberry and pea tagine

Curries served with;

Steamed jasmine rice, turmeric and cardamom infused rice, housemade naan, poppadoms, coconut dusted banana, mango chutney, cucumber and mint raita, chilli, coriander, spiced peanuts, lime

Tagines served with;
Jewelled couscous (pine-nuts, herbs, pomagranite, cranberries, saffron, apricots & orange), jasmine rice, house made flat breads
accompaniments of minted yoghurt, chilli, fresh herbs, tabouleh, harissa, roasted almonds

A BANGALOW HARVEST TABLE for a Birthday gathering

An abundant grazing table showcasing the best ingredients from the Bangalow region.

Served for 1 hour

  • Caramelised sweet Bangalow carved off the bone; glazed with maple and Stone & Wood ale, cloves, served with homemade peach relish, onion jam, dijonnaise, greenoak lettuce, French bread

  • Mediterranean snapper cakes, lemon panko crumb, caper and lemon tartare.

  • Chorizo & three cheese fritatta, including goats cheese, Goonengerry Dutch cream potato, sage garlic & lemon

  • Macadamia spiced hummus

  • Local baked ricotta

  • Farmers market crudité with bush food dukkah and EVO

  • Spiced warm olives

  • Baguette, toasts, crackers and lavosh

 

  • Triple Belgian chocolate and native Davidson plum brownie, Davidson plum sauce, Chantilly cream
